Where can I find a job as an assistant trader/broker. I have a lot of experience. I prefer municipal bonds.?
May 28th
I worked on the floor of NYSE for many years. I was laid off in Octoer of 2006. I traded mostly equities but I will really like to work as an assistant bond trader until I take my series 7 exam. Only series 21 and 25 were required for floor clerks.
I want to open a Roth-IRA, now what? Help PLEASE!?
May 28th
I know that what I want a roth-IRA and I have a bit of money to start it off, but I’m confused as to which company to go to as well as what to look for when choosing a company. I’ve scoured the internet and there don’t seem to be any clear, concise guides to this.
So…
1. Which company would you recommend using to open a Roth-IRA?
2. What should I look for when choosing a company? (How will they invest my money differently?)
3. What happens once I open it? Does the company do all the work or do I have to monitor stocks and bonds and constantly be “trading” in order for my investment to grow.
Thanks for your help!
Ok, Geeze… I’m 23, single, college graduate, don’t earn much now but am in a field with very high potential once I work my way up the ranks. I’m not sure what my risk tolerance is but I think it’s pretty high since I have so long till retirement. I can only contribute a couple of thousand this year but plan on contributing the max (4 or 5K) per year after now. I work freelance so this and whatever else I open for myself will be my only retirement savings, most likely.
Has the stock market in the last two trading days made any sense?
May 28th
The markets around the world have gone dramatically up today and Friday on news that the U.S Gov. will continue to bail out distressed financial institutions (ie Citibank) and will consider bailing out non-financial institutions (ie Ford and GM). Needless to say, the Gov. doesn’t really have this money to lend, so it’s raising same by issuing treasury bonds, which puts the U.S. more in debt and transfers the debt to future generations to deal with. So where does it all end? Shouldn’t the market go up only with positive economic news (of which there is zilch)? Where do you see this all ending? Can the Gov. just simply continue to print money, or are there dire consequences down the road?

Is there a solvent that will loosen the bond of hot glue and is safe for use on model kit plastic? Thanks!?
May 28th
I got a plastic tank (for use in a war game) in a trade over the internet, and it was hot glued together! Hot glue is a horrible thing to do to a model kit, it falls apart and cant be re-glued due to the fact that superglue/plastic glue won’t adhere to the hot glue. Also, the parts stick out too far because hot glue has too much substance. So I’m trying to fix it. I’ve been carefully cutting the hot glue off with a hobby knife, but I’m cutting little pieces of the kit off every once in a while, no matter how hard I try. Help!
