Do you have to be ruthless in business?
Will the ruthless businesses prevail, or is it better to “trade fair” and develop long lasting bonds? What should I do if I feel ripped off from a business partner? Learn and move on, or somehow fight for my rights (if they are “big” and I am “small”)?

Learn and move on, and be carefull next time. I think becoming ruthless will just make you like the partner that ripped you off. I really hate this mentality of being a monster in order to go forward. I think it is just the excuse of people who are incapable of being nice and honest, in every part of their life not just work.

if your product you’re offering is of the right price for the product (market price), it doesn’t matter how cheap you got!
that is if u want to reall dump other supplier go ahead! but your profit is less!
so the decison is up to you!

Pretty much you do have to be ruthless, but it doesn’t mean you have to be as ruthless as other people in business. Compassionate companies and businessmen usually are in higher favor amongst the public.

Retain your integrity, but don’t make the mistake of being too benevolent or philanthropic when you can’t afford to. Don’t do business with friends, and get EVERYTHING written in a water tight contractual agreement. Being ruthless often involves underhanded and immoral methods that are illegal and make the system unjust and dysfunctional for people such as yourself. The response: DON’T just emulate their methods, and cross to the dark side. Think ahead, play smart, anticipate changes in all things that could affect your business and adjust your strategy accordingly. Research, inform yourself, examine case studies of success and failure alike. Translate these to your own position, monitor your counterparts and act quick. This way, you’ve legitimately earned your success without comprosing yourself and others wellbeing along the way.

Pick your fights wisely. How important is it? Is it worth the efforts you’ll need to put out? In some cases, it’s better for YOUR peace of mind to move on and chalk it up as one of life’s lessons.
