Just out of curiosity, would it be a good idea to trade Barry Bonds and Barry Zito for Cliff lee, Brandon Webb, and David Wright? Statistically I am way ahead on Home Runs, Bonds walks a ton, and I’m dead-last in strikeouts. I have Chipper and Upton to play 3rd already, but have Beltran, Tori More >

The required returns on all stocks are the same, and the required returns on stocks are higher than the required returns on bonds. The required returns on stocks equal the required returns on bonds. First tip is to learn about basics. I suggest you to not trade Stocks but trade commodities.
Go to http://www.investopedia.com to learn about commodities and currencies. It looks difficult but believe me its very much easy. My cousin who is 13 year old easily understand when crudeoil will go up and down.
plus this is a very usefull site. A trader must visit this site for their trading decisions like when to buy and when to sell.

Before making any trades have some goals in mind. If your a student, opening a Roth IRA is a very smart thing to do. This will let you get ahead in your retirement savings.
T. Rowe Price has a minimum of $50 a month and you pay no commissions to invest in an IRA.
It might not be in your best interest to make small trades at this point in time. Commissions will eat up your returns if your making frequent trades.
I’m working on a website now of someone in your situation. http://www.our-financial-planner.com/
If you have any questions, I will be glad to help you out.

To trade effectively, I think you need to learn technical analysis. The websites mentioned by others are good, as is stockcharts.com. Also, go to your library or amazon.com or a bookstore to see if you find a book on technicals that you like. Learn a lot about market fundamentals and technicals before trading with real $s. The market is tough, especially this current one.
