Many hedge funds in operation today require investors to put in $1 million minimum. So I don’t think $600K is enough to start your own hedge fund, if your goal is to attract outside investors to put their money into it.

You can invest in hedge funds with a minimum of $500,000 or less sometimes. But you have to be an accredited investor. You might check into a Separately Managed Account also. Minimums are like $100,000.
