Truth is, technical trading doesn’t require much in the way of formal education. I’d just suggest you really look into your performance and see how good you really are. What do you do that’s so much better than others? Heck, are you even outperforming others? Was it by luck? Trading stocks for yourself isn’t much of a job as it contributes nothing to society and probably won’t produce large dollars unless you’re either very loaded right now or get very lucky. It’s more than likely not worth the gamble; you’d be better off finding some job to pay the bills and trading on the side now until you can figure out how good you really are, while building enough of a nest egg so that making 10% every year is actually a significant amount of money.

If you are 19 & unemployed, what exactly are you going to use for capital to trade stocks?? Unless you have a realtively large amount of money with which to trade, transaction fee’s, expenses & taxes will likely kill your return.
Having said that, no doubt you will have to find this out for yourself, via ‘the school of hard knocks’.

im 17 and have been trading for a little less then a year with money from summer jobs. my plan is to go to college or trade school and earn as much as i can early so i have some capital and hopefully retire young and day trade for a job. because unless your parents gave you lots of money (if they did then im extremely jealous) you should make some capital. remeber NEED MONEY TO MAKE MONEY. another point is that the best thing to do is re invest your profits so it keeps growing and growing so i wouldn’t recommend having to take money out of portfolio to pay bills. I am considerating, based on the economy working weekends and seeing if i can make some money (that won’t leave my portfolio for at least 25 years) day trading.
If you believe your amazingly talented and can make like 150$ or better a day w/o losses, go for it!
Good Luck to you!

Don’t think of it as a “job”. If you have strong interest and passion for this, then follow your heart’s desire.
